About the Player

Harry Brook's relentless run-scoring has made him the axis of England's attacking Test order. Raised in Keighley and schooled in the Yorkshire system, he served notice with a run of centuries in the 2022 County Championship, then took the same method straight into Test cricket, hammering three hundreds in his first series in Pakistan that winter.

His game is built on astonishing hand-eye coordination and premeditated aggression. He walks across his stumps to swipe spinners through midwicket, hangs deep to carve pace bowlers over third man, and sweeps almost anything, which makes bowling plans against him feel redundant. The high points have kept coming: a match-winning 75 at Headingley in the 2023 Ashes, hundreds in New Zealand, and a monumental 317 against Pakistan in Multan in 2024, England's first Test triple century since 1990.

In 2025 he was appointed England's white-ball captain, adding formal leadership to his role as a senior voice in the Test dressing room, and he has also captained Northern Superchargers in The Hundred. A vulnerability against extreme pace surfaces occasionally, and he has at times chosen England commitments over the IPL, but opposing coaches still circle his name first in pre-series planning. Whether he converts raw intent into consistency across formats will decide how high he finally ranks.
