Pakistan's most complete cricketer, he combined genuine pace with tactical cunning, spearheading an attack that ruled the late 1980s.

Beyond the ball, Imran redefined leadership. He took a young, volatile side and forged them into world champions, culminating in the 1992 World Cup triumph in Australia. His captaincy was bold and often unorthodox, and he led from the front, scoring vital runs under pressure and handling his bowlers with fearless aggression. The triumph made him a national hero and laid the ground for a political career that later took him to the office of Prime Minister.
